Determination to succeed even in adverse condition

The fact of continuing to try to do something despite of difficulties

Achievement comes from ordinary abilities applied with extraordinary persistence.

All good work is done the way ants do the things, little by little. – Lafcadio Hearn

Being defeated is temporary, giving up is permanent!

Don’t ever get tired until you make the last attempt & Don’t ever make the last attempt until you are Successful.

For any outstanding achievement, persistence is a common ingredient.

Have patience and faith and keep doing the right thing. Even though result may not be visible, something is happening.

In the confrontation between the stream and the rock, the stream wins…  not through strength but PERSISTENCE.

It doesn’t matter how many times you get knocked down            it only matters how many times you get up.

It is not that winners never fail, in fact most of them do but they never quit.

Its not always you get to hit the iron when it is hot, I believe in hitting it so hard that it gets hot.                                                                               – Laxmi Mittal

More people fail not because they lack knowledge or talent but because they quit.

Never! Never! Never! Never! Give-up.

Our greatest glory lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.

– Oscar Wild

Players win, players lose, players prepare, players practice, players get hurt but players get up. No matter what the outcome is, players play.

Stone is broken by last stroke, it doesn’t mean that first stroke was useless.

Success is how high you bounce when you hit the bottom.

Success salute persistence.                                                  – Hemant C. Lodha

Success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go

– William Feather

The battle of life isn’t ever won by the one who is the most talented, But who does not loose his grip overthe sword till the last breath!

The man who removes a mountain begins by carrying away small stones.

– Chinese Proverb

The secret of success is to start from scratch and keep on scratching.

The total secret of success lies in two words, persistence and resistance. Persist in what must be done and resist what ought not to be done.

You are never beaten unless you give up. You may have a fresh start any moment you choose.                                                                – Mary Pickford

You never lose until you quit trying.

Nothing in the world can take

the place of Persistence.

Talent will not;

Nothing is more common than

unsuccessful men with talent.

Genius will not;

unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.

Education will not;

The world is full of educated derelicts.

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.

The slogan ‘Press On’ has solved

And always will solve the

problems of the human race.

– By Calvin Coolidge

Wilma Rudolph

Wilma Rudolph was born in a poor home in Tennessee. At the age of four, she had double pneumonia with scarlet fever, a deadly combination that left her paralyzed with polio. She had to wear braces and the doctor said she would never put her foot on the earth. But her mother encouraged her; she told Wilma that with god given ability, persistence and faith she could do anything she wanted. Wilma said, “I want to be the fastest woman on the track on this earth.”

At the age of nine, against the advice of the doctors, she removed the brace and look the first step the doctor had said she never would.

At the age of 13, she entered her first, and second and third race and came way, way last until a day came when she came in first.

At the age of 15 she went to Tennessee State University told him, I want to be the fastest woman on the track on this earth. “Temple said, “with your spirit nobody can stop you and besides, I will help you.” The day came when she was at the Olympics and at the Olympics you are matched with the best of the best. Wilma was matched against a woman name Jutta Heine who had never been beaten.

The first event was the 10-meter race. Wilma beat Jutta Heine and won her first gold medal. Second event was the 200-meter race and Wilma beat Juuta a second time and and won her second gold medal.

The third event was the 400-meter relay and she was racing against Jutta one more time. In the relay, the fastest person always runs the last lap and they both anchored their teams.

The first three people ran and changed the baton easily. When it came to Wilma’s turn, she dropped the baton, but Wilma saw Jutta shoot up at the other end; she picked the baton, ran like a machine, beat Jutta a third time and won her third gold medal. It became history; that a paralytk woman became the fasted woman on this earth at the 1960 Olympics.

Moral of the story:

Determination can make the impossible possible.
