Eye of the Bird

Dronacharya was teaching the Pandavas and Kaurawas the art of the archery. He placed a wooden bird as the target and asked them to aim at the eye of the bird. The first disciple was asked to aim and describe what he saw. He replied,” 1 see the tree, the branches, the leaves, the say, the birds and its eye.” Dronacharya asked him to wait. Then he asked a second disciple the same question and received a similar reply. He too, was asked to wait. Finally it was Arjun’s turn. Confronted with the same question he replied, “I can only see the eye.” Dronacharya asked him to go ahead and shoot. Arjun’s arrow flew straight and hit the eye of the bird.

Moral of the story :

You cannot hit two targets with one arrow. If your thoughts stray, you miss the target. Mind and arrow must become one. Only with such concentration of mental and physical power cam,your arrow hit the target.
